The real meaning for Christmas

I know how people go crazy around the holidays to find the perfect gift for their loved ones. The real reason we celebrate Christmas isn't for the gifts, being with loved ones you see once a year, but it is to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Gabriel told a virgin Mary that she was going to give birth to Jesus our messiah. She didn't understand how she would give birth to Jesus. The spirit aka God placed Jesus in her, so that she could be the mother of the messiah.

I have a few questions.
What would it be like to be a parent of Jesus?
How do you think Joseph reacted when Mary said she was pregnant?

Why do you think god chose Mary to have his son?

So as we move past the holiday season and christmas of 2008 and the New Year is in the immediate future, lets remember why celebrate Christmas as christians.
Without CHRIST CHRISTmas would be mas, and that's no fun
HAPPY LATE CHRSTmas EVERYONE!!!!

god bless

A relationship with god. Are you a friend or a fan?

Are you a friend or a fan of god? You might think that you are a friend of his, just like you might believe that you have a tight relationship with a celebrity. The truth is that many people are only fans of that celebrity, but when it comes to god, we can all be his friend.

Id we want to become a friend of God, you have to spend time with him, just like you do with your friends, that you talk to in everyday life. I know it might be hard to find a time to talk to Jesus, but I have faith in you. A perfect time to talk to God, is when you first wake up in the morning, or right before you go to bed. This time with God has many names, such as quiet time, quality time, personal time, and there are a few others. I usually talk to god as I walk from class to class during school, but I also try to have a more personal time with him while I am at home. I like to read through a couple of scriptures and try to comprehend what is being said or told.

If you have any comments or questions, feel free to write back, and i will try to answer at my earliest convenience
